Opposition Slams Nishad’s Remarks
Samajwadi Party leader Sumaiya Rana filed a complaint seeking an FIR against him. Former Congress MLA Aslam Shaikh described the remarks as “vile” and “misogynistic”, saying they insulted women and religious sentiments.
Amid mounting outrage, Nishad later issued a clarification. He claimed his words were spoken casually in a local Bhojpuri dialect and insisted there was no ill intent towards any woman, religion, or community.
