The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday announced Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate for the upcoming Vice-President election set for 9 September. His name was finalised at the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting in New Delhi. The alliance had earlier authorised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Party President JP Nadda to select the nominee. With this announcement, Radhakrishnan is set to be the NDA’s official choice for the post.

Radhakrishnan’s Political Career
