Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a grand state dinner hosted in his honour by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the evening of December 5, 2025. He was accorded a ceremonial welcome on arrival, where President Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi received him, followed by a tri-services Guard of Honour.
The event followed India and Russia reaffirming their commitment to countering terrorism in their Joint Statement after the 23rd Annual Summit. Both sides also condemned the recent attacks in Pahalgam and Moscow.
