Rivaba Jadeja, wife of Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, has officially taken a significant political leap as she joins Gujarat’s new 26-member cabinet. The Jamnagar North MLA, who entered politics in 2019 by joining the BJP, has steadily risen in prominence. In the 2022 Gujarat Assembly elections, she secured a decisive victory with a margin of over 50,000 votes, defeating AAP’s Karshanbhai Karmur and Congress Bipendrasinh Jadeja.

Rivaba Joins New Cabinet
This cabinet reshuffle comes after all ministers, except Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, resigned to allow a “strategic reset” ahead of local body and 2027 assembly elections. On 17th October 2025, CM Patel met Governor Acharya Devvrat at Raj Bhavan to seek approval for the swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet.
Her induction marks a new chapter, not just for her political journey but also for Gujarat’s governance, as she steps into a ministerial role with significant expectations. Her rise reflects both public trust and the BJP’s confidence in her leadership.
