Legendary rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, renowned for shaping the heavy metal genre, has passed away at 76. Best known as the frontman of ‘Black Sabbath’, Osbourne helped create the sound and style of heavy metal in the early 1970s. His death comes less than three weeks after a farewell concert in Birmingham, where his career began.

A Sound That Changed Everything

With ‘Black Sabbath’, Ozzy Osbourne helped introduce a darker, heavier form of rock that shaped decades of music. Records such as ‘Paranoid’ and ‘Master of Reality’ laid the foundation for the heavy metal genre. After leaving the band, he launched a successful solo career, delivering hits like ‘Crazy Dream’. Just weeks before his death, Ozzy Osbourne reunited with ‘Black Sabbath’ for one final show, joined by Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and other artists who credit him as a legend and a mentor.
