Karnataka police have arrested three men for the alleged gang rape of a 19-year-old college student from Magadi town in the Ramanagara region of Bengaluru South. The accused have been identified as Vikas, Prashanth, and Chethan. All three were known to the survivor. Vikas and Prashanth are students at a private college in Bengaluru, while Chethan works as an electrician in Magadi.
Karnataka Police Reveal Shocking Details
Police said Vikas had been in contact with the survivor for about seven months and later developed a physical relationship with her. He allegedly recorded intimate videos without her consent and used them to threaten and blackmail her. The abuse escalated when Vikas took the young woman to Chethan’s house, where the three men allegedly sexually assaulted her while Chethan’s wife was away for delivery.
Distressed by the threats and assault, the survivor approached the Magadi police station and filed a complaint. Police recovered the mobile phone containing the videos and sent it to the Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis. Further investigation is underway to determine whether other women were involved or exploited.
