Just to look prettier than others, a woman from Haryana allegedly killed four children, including her own son. The shocking case has left Panipat district stunned. A 32-year-old woman named Poonam has been arrested for the murders of three young girls over the past two years. The victims were two six-year-old girls and a nine-year-old girl. Their families had believed the deaths were accidental. She also confessed to drowning her own son in 2023 to avoid suspicion.
Haryana Cops Uncover Deadly Pattern
The case came to light after Panipat police noticed similarities between multiple child deaths while investigating the murder of six-year-old Vidhi. Vidhi had gone missing during a wedding in Naultha village. She was later found dead in a storeroom on the first floor. Her body was found face down in a plastic tub filled with water.
Police arrested Poonam, her aunt, who allegedly lured the child upstairs and drowned her. She then locked the room from the outside before rejoining the wedding guests.
According to reports, Poonam feared the children would grow up to look better than her. Police say she shows psychopathic tendencies. She will be produced in court and taken into police remand for further investigation.
