India won the Ind vs WI Test 1 by an innings and 140 runs in Ahmedabad, wrapping up the match on Day 3. KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, and Ravindra Jadeja scored centuries to take India to 448/5 before declaring. West Indies struggled with the bat in both innings, scoring 162 in the first and 146 in the second. Ravindra Jadeja’s all-round performance, with a century and four wickets, earned him the Player of the Match award and guided India to a comfortable win in the opening Test of the series.

India Take 286-Run Lead

India scored three centuries in their first innings of the Ind vs WI Test 1. KL Rahul made 100, Dhruv Jurel registered his maiden Test hundred with 125, and Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 104*. Their efforts helped India build a 286-run lead. West Indies had posted 162 in their first innings, with Justin Greaves top-scoring on 32. Partnerships between Rahul, Jurel, and Jadeja kept India in control throughout.

In the second innings, West Indies were bowled out for 146. Ravindra Jadeja took four wickets for 54 runs, while Mohammed Siraj had claimed four in the first innings. Jasprit Bumrah picked up three, and Kuldeep Yadav, along with Washington Sundar, helped India seal the victory. With this win, India leads the two-match series 1–0. The second Test will be played in New Delhi from October 10.
