Why Is Ajith Kumar’s Film Good Bad Ugly Removed From Netflix?

Good Bad Ugly

Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly has landed in trouble, as legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja filed a case against the makers for using his classic songs without consent. Despite receiving a reply from Mythri Movie Makers, the music maestro found their response unsatisfactory and approached the Madras High Court.

Acting on his plea, Justice Senthikumar issued an interim order banning the film’s exhibition, sale, or streaming on any platform, including OTT services. Following this directive, Netflix officially removed the Ajith starrer from its catalogue.

Good Bad Ugly Copyright Dispute

Ilaiyaraaja claimed that songs such as Otha Rubayum Tharen (Nattupura Pattu), Ilamai Idho Idho (Sakalakala Vallavan), and En Jodi Manja Kuruvi (Vikram) were used in the film without authorisation. Until further orders from the court, fans will not be able to watch Good Bad Ugly online, leaving the movie’s OTT future uncertain.
