China celebrated the 80th anniversary of its World War II victory with a large China military parade in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square. The event showcased new Chinese weapons, including hypersonic missiles and electronic warfare systems. More than 10,000 troops, 100 aircraft, and hundreds of tanks and military vehicles took part. President Xi Jinping led the event, highlighting China’s victory and the contributions of its people to global peace. World leaders, including Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, were also present.

High-Tech Weapons

The military parade showcased China’s newest military equipment, including HQ-9C and DF-61 missiles. Several of these weapons were shown to the public for the first time. The event also featured UN peacekeeping forces and structures representing the Great Wall, emphasising China’s military strength and its commitment to global security.

Xi Calls for Peace

In his address, President Xi urged nations to prevent war and resolve conflicts through peaceful means. He recalled China’s long struggle against Japanese aggression, which led to 35 million deaths. The parade also highlighted China’s role as a global leader promoting peace. Fighter jets, helicopters, and the release of 80,000 symbolic birds reinforced the message of safety and international cooperation.
