The Bombay High Court has directed the removal of AI-generated morphed images and videos of actor Shilpa Shetty from social media and websites. The court called the content “extremely disturbing and shocking” and provided relief to the actor, who filed a plea to protect her personality rights. Justice Advait Sethna said no person should have their privacy or reputation harmed without their consent.
Fake Content of Shilpa Shetty Removed
Shilpa stated that her voice, image, and mannerisms were being misused by AI tools to create fake content and merchandise. The court ordered all defendants to remove the URLs from their platforms. This ruling protects her image and prevents further misuse. Shilpa will return to theatres in 2026 with the Kannada pan-India film KD: The Devil.
