Chinese President Xi Jinping will host PM Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and other world leaders at the SCO Summit 2025 in Tianjin on 31 August and 1 September. The summit, the largest in the organisation’s history, will focus on regional security, economic cooperation, and strategic partnerships. Xi will lead the 25th Council of Heads of State, deliver a keynote address, hold bilateral meetings, and host a welcome banquet.
India’s participation, led by PM Modi, is significant amid evolving regional and global alignments. Officials said the SCO Summit will also feature cultural and diplomatic events aimed at strengthening collaboration among member and partner countries.
