India’s star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra won the Paris Diamond League 2025 on Friday, June 20, with a strong performance in the men’s final. Competing at the Stade Charlety Stadium, where he lost his last Olympic title to Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem in 2024, Neeraj made a commanding comeback with his first throw of 88.16m.

Neeraj Chopra took an early lead with a powerful first throw of 88.16 meters, which remained unbeaten through the competition. Germany’s Julian Weber pushed him closely with a best effort of 87.88m but had to settle for second place. Chopra’s second attempt reached 85.10m, while his third and fourth attempts were ruled as fouls. Brazil’s Luiz Mauricio da Silva secured third position with a throw of 86.62m.
“I was aiming for bigger throws, but I’m satisfied with the result and finishing first,” Chopra said after the event.
