Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has claimed that singer Zubeen Garg death in Singapore may not have been an accident, calling it a possible murder. The 52-year-old artist, who died on September 19 while attending the North East India Festival, is now at the centre of a major investigation led by the CID’s Special Investigation Team (SIT).

The SIT has arrested seven people, including Zubeen Garg’s manager, band members, and cousin. Authorities said financial irregularities worth over Rs 1.1 crore were found. The Assam CM confirmed that the charge sheet in the Zubeen Garg death case will be submitted by December 8 after approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Investigators are working closely with central agencies to uncover the truth behind the incident, which has shocked fans across the Northeast.
