Fashion brand Zara has closed its iconic store in South Mumbai’s Fort area after eight years of operation. Netizens spotted a notice posted on the doors of the 110-year-old, five-story outlet and shared it on social media. The flagship Mumbai store, located in the historic Ismail Building, was 51,300 square feet and spread across five floors. It closed on February 24, although the notice on the door did not provide any specific reason for the shutdown.
Why Did Zara Close It’s Store?
“Please be informed that this Zara store will cease operations after the end of business on 23rd February. We will continue to assist you all at our Zara stores in Mumbai and Zara.com/in.”
