Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his estranged wife, Dhanashree Verma, have been allowed to waive the 6-month cooling period post-divorce. As per reports, Yuzvendra and Dhanashree had separated since June 2022 but filed for divorce this year.
The Alimony
As per Bar and Bench, The Bombay High Court has allowed the couple to waive the six-month cooling period and directed the family court to decide their divorce plea by March 20. Initially, the court rejected their plea due to partial compliance with a consent term, where Chahal agreed to pay Verma Rs 4.75 crore as alimony but had only paid Rs 2.37 crore.
