After leading India to a commanding nine-wicket victory over Australia in the final ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli once again proved why they remain India’s most dependable batting duo. The pair’s unbeaten 168-run stand sealed the series in style. Rohit scored 121*, while Kohli remained unbeaten on 74. However, questions now arise about when fans will next see both legends in action.
Virat-Rohit Focus on ODIs
Both players are currently focused solely on the 50-over format. They are expected to return for India’s ODI series against South Africa starting on 30 November, followed by matches on 3 and 6 December. After that, India will face New Zealand in another ODI series beginning on 11 January 2026. Before then, Rohit and Kohli may feature in the Vijay Hazare Trophy starting on 24 December, representing their respective domestic sides. Their short break offers much-needed rest before another exciting cricket calendar begins.
