The controversy erupted after Rahul mocked Kohli’s explanation about an Instagram algorithm glitch that allegedly caused him to like a photo of actress Avneet Kaur. Vaidya not only ridiculed the reasoning in multiple posts but also claimed that Kohli had blocked him years ago.

Vikas Kohli responded on Threads, criticizing Vaidya’s attempts to gain attention: “Bache itni mehnat agar apni singing pai karle… WHAT A LOSER.” His comments quickly went viral, drawing support from Kohli’s fanbase.

Despite the backlash, Rahul continued to taunt the cricketer, sarcastically blaming Instagram’s algorithm for blocking him too. “Instagram k algorithm ne bola hoga…” he joked on his Story. Fans have however, now dismissed Rahul’s stories and provocation as a desperate attempt to gain followers.
