Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, visited Ayodhya on May 25, 2025. This was their second spiritual excursion since the right-handed batter declared his retirement from Test cricket. The couple visited the Ram Mandir and Hanuman Garhi temples.

During their pilgrimage, they met Sanjay Das, the Sankat Mochan Sena’s national president and Mahant Gyan Das’ successor in Hanuman Garhi. Senior priest Hemant Das led them through the darshan and religious procedures.
Earlier this month, Virat and Anushka went to take blessings from Premanand Ji Maharaj in Vrindavan at the Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj Ashram in Varah Ghat. They also met Shri Hit Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj and sought his blessings.
