How Tripura Student was Assaulted
On the night of December 9, Anjel Chakma, a final-year MBA student from Nandanagar in Tripura’s Unakoti district, was at a market in Dehradun with his brother, Michael. A group of men reportedly called them ‘Chinese’, and Anjel told them they were Indians. The situation escalated, and the men allegedly attacked Anjel with knives and a kada. He suffered severe injuries to his neck and spine, while Michael was also injured.
“I am Indian.” (victim’s last words) 😢
