The Bads of Bollywood Review

The world was NOT ready for this, but Aryan Khan just made sure we are! His directional debut 7-episode series is literally shaking Bollywood to its core. This is NOT your regular ‘masala drama’ with happy songs and fairy-tale endings—it’s raw, real, and brutally honest about the Indian film industry. Aryan spent 4 years crafting this masterpiece, and you can feel that perfection in every frame. The writing is sharp, the storytelling is bold, and the vibes? Totally approved. It’s giving dark, unapologetic, tell-it-as-it-is energy—and we’re here for it!

Performances

The biggest W is the cast. Bobby Deol is the OG! His back-to-back performances will leave you stunned. Lakshay delivers a breakout performance that feels so authentic, while Anya Singh and Sahher Bambba completely own their roles, bringing layers of vulnerability and strength. You will laugh to death seeing Raghav Juyal. Every actor, be it Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Rajat Bedi, Gautami Kapoor, and others, left an impact—making it less of a star show and more of a true ensemble piece.

Final Verdict

What hits hardest in The bads of Bollywood is how unapologetically the series exposes the power struggles, nepotism, exploitation, and the grey areas of fame that Bollywood often hides under the glitter. There’s no sugarcoating here—just straight-up reality, and it’s honestly refreshing. Everyone is going to vibe with this because it’s not afraid to call out the toxic patterns of the industry while also reminding us why we love cinema so much. The cinematography is good, the background score slaps, and the dialogues? Quirky, sharp, and meme-worthy already.
