DoPT Minister Jitendra Singh has confirmed that students affected by technical glitches and mismanagement in the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 exam would be given a chance to reappear. He also said that the Rs 100 fee paid for raising the question will be refunded if the candidate’s answer is found correct. The minister met the group of protesting teachers and assured them of action. He added that results for the SSC CPO exam will be declared within a week.
Minister Responds to Protest Demands
The protests began after widespread issues were reported in the SSC Phase 13 exam, held from 24 July to 1 August. Students faced cancelled exams, biometric errors, delayed admit cards, and incorrect centre allotments. Some were marked absent despite attending. Teachers, including Neetu Singh and Rakesh Yadav, joined the protest in Delhi. Many blamed Eduquity, the exam vendor, for poor execution. Following pressure, the government agreed to re-examine the affected candidates and promised improved handling of future exams.
