Lakhs of candidates aspiring for government jobs in India are finally over the wait! The official SSC CGL exam 2025 dates have been announced, bringing clarity and excitement to candidates preparing for one of the biggest recruitment drives of the year. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has confirmed that the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam will be held from 12 to 26 September 2025 in multiple cities across India.
This year, the competition is fierce, with 14,582 vacancies under Group B and Group C positions. What makes this exam even more massive is the sheer number of applicants. Nearly 28 lakh candidates have registered, making it one of the largest competitive exams in the country.
As per the SSC update, candidates will be allotted exam centres within 100 km of their chosen locations. Candidates have to download it from their respective regional SSC websites and carry a printed copy along with a valid identity card to the exam centre. Information such as reporting time, exam city, and shift will be clearly mentioned on the admit card.
Selection Process for SSC CGL Exam
The selection process for the exam is simple. It will be conducted in Tier 1 and Tier 2 stages. It is worth noting that there will be no interview this year, and candidates will be selected purely on the basis of their written exam performance.
