SSC CGL 2025: Commission Issues Strict Advisory Ahead of Exam

SSC CGL

SSC CGL 2025 Tier-1 examination is all set to begin on 12 September and will run until 26 September across 260 centres in 129 cities. This year, the exam is being conducted for 14,582 government job vacancies in computer-based mode. Candidates can download their admit cards directly from the official portal, ssc.gov.in, using their login credentials.

SSC CGL Advisory Issued

Ahead of the exam, the SSC CGL 2025 commission has issued a strict advisory emphasising a zero-tolerance approach towards malpractices. Any attempt to indulge in unfair means will lead to cancellation of candidature under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, which prescribes imprisonment and fines of up to 10 years and Rs 1 crore. This highlights the commission’s commitment to integrity and fairness in the recruitment process.

Advanced Safeguards

To enhance exam security, new and advanced anti-cheating regulations have been implemented. Measures include Aadhaar-based biometric verification, facial recognition at entry and exit points, AI-backed CCTV surveillance, and remote control node tracking to detect impersonation or suspicious activity. Interestingly, invigilators may not intervene immediately; instead, electronic evidence will be reviewed to take strict action, and any candidate caught will have their scores withheld.

Strict Exam-Day Guidelines

The advisory also lists critical exam-day instructions. Candidates must avoid writing answers on rough sheets for later bulk entry, talking, peeking at others’ screens, or attempting to lock Aadhaar biometrics. Sharing exam paper discussions on social media will now be treated as a criminal offence, a move that has sparked debate among students and educators.

With the SSC CGL Tier-1 exams around the corner, candidates are urged to follow instructions closely. These measures ensure fairness and transparency in one of the most sought-after government job exams in India. The commission’s strict rules underline its mission to conduct a secure, unbiased, and credible selection process.
