‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Box Office Report: Film Sees Weekend Surge, Triples Day 1 Earnings

Aamir Khan’s comeback film, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par,’ is making major waves at the box office. The movie released last Friday and has been receiving positive feedback from critics and audiences alike. The movie reportedly earned around Rs 10 crore on its opening day; the numbers saw a huge jump on the weekend.

As per reports, the film collected Rs 10 crore on Friday and quickly picked up pace, earning Rs 20.2 crore on Saturday. Sunday was the highest-earning day of the weekend for Aamir, as the movie saw a remarkable jump to Rs 29 crore. Sachnilk reported that the Hindi version of the film saw an average occupancy of 57.83% during the afternoon. This climbed to 72.31% in the evening and dipped down to 46.97%, in the night.

‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is a spiritual successor to Khan’s 2007 film ‘Taare Zameen Par’. It is an official remake of the 2018 Spanish film ‘Champions’. Aamir plays the role of a suspended basketball coach who must serve community service by helping a team of players with disabilities prepare for a basketball tournament.
