Aamir Khan’s much-awaited film, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, is set to release on June 20. Advance bookings have already picked up pace. As per Sacnilk, the film has sold over 38,000 tickets for more than 6,100 shows across India. It has earned Rs 99.7 lakh in pre-release sales so far. With blocked seats included, the day one gross is expected to touch Rs 3.61 crore.

Delhi is leading in revenue, followed by Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, and Gujarat. The highest number of screenings is in Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The film will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is said to be a spiritual sequel to ‘Taare Zameen Par’, made on a smaller budget. Aamir is focusing on accessibility, with a uniform 9 am show start and weekend pricing. The film is directed by RS Prasanna and also stars Genelia D’Souza. It features 10 neurodivergent actors making their debut.
