‘Sikandar’ Faces Rs 91 Crore Loss Due To Piracy, Nadiadwala Files Claim

Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s ‘Sikandar’ was released in March 2025 but failed to impress both critically and commercially. The film’s troubles worsened when it leaked online a day before its official release. HD copies of the film appeared on piracy sites like Tamilrockers and Movierulz, damaging box office collections. Reports suggest producer Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment is preparing a Rs 91 crore insurance claim.

Sikandar faces a loss due to piracy

According to Bollywood Hungama, an audit by Ernst & Young pegged the piracy loss at Rs 91 crore. The leaked version reportedly contained unfinished scenes and VFX, hurting the film’s reputation further. Sources claim the producers used digital tracking tools to measure piracy across platforms. Loss estimates were based on expected box office performance and regional earnings.
