Shreyas Iyer Admitted to ICU After Suffering Internal Rib Cage Bleeding

India’s vice-captain Shreyas Iyer was taken to the hospital after suffering a rib injury while fielding during the third ODI against Australia in Sydney. He has been admitted to the ICU after suffering internal bleeding caused by a rib cage injury. The incident occurred in the 34th over when Iyer dived to take a catch to dismiss Alex Carey but landed awkwardly on his left side. He appeared to be in visible discomfort and walked off the field for immediate medical attention.

Iyer Suffers Rib Injury

Medical tests are being conducted to determine the severity of the injury. Early reports suggest he has injured his left rib cage. It appears unlikely that Iyer will bat in the second innings, and his chances of featuring in the upcoming matches remain uncertain.
