Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra Get Lockout Notice Over Rs 60 Crore Cheating Case

Shilpa Shetty

Mumbai Police has issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra in a Rs 60 crore fraud case, officials confirmed. Following a complaint by businessman Deepak Kothari, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) initiated an investigation into the matter. Kothari alleged that the couple misused funds he had invested in their now-defunct company, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. According to him, the money, which was meant for business expansion between 2015 and 2023, was allegedly diverted to personal expenses instead.

Lookout notice issued

The couple’s lawyer denied any criminal wrongdoing, stating the matter was civil and had already been adjudicated by NCLT Mumbai in October 2024. An LOC alerts immigration authorities to prevent the accused from leaving the country while under investigation.

This high-profile Bollywood celebrity legal case has drawn significant attention and highlights concerns about corporate fraud and accountability in entertainment business ventures.
