The makers of the famous song ‘Kaanta Laga’ have confirmed that the track will never be remade or any sequel will be made. The decision has been taken as a tribute to actress Shefali Jariwala, who passed away recently. She became popular after her super hit song ‘Kaanta Laga’ came out in the early 2000s. She was known as the original ‘Kaanta Laga girl’. The director said that the song belongs to her, and in her memory, he has decided to retire it forever.

Director Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru who introduced Shefali Jariwala in ‘Kaanta Laga’ penned emotional messages for her after the prayer meeting. On Instagram, the duo revealed that Shefali had once expressed her wish to be remembered as the soul of the iconic track. ‘We are retiring Kaanta Laga forever. It was always yours,’ they wrote along with an old CD cover photo from their first shoot. The directors decided not to make a remix or sequel as a tribute to Shefali Jariwala.
