Shah Rukh Khan stole the spotlight at the 71st National Film Awards during his official introduction by Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Jaju honoured SRK as the King of Arts. Khan was visibly moved and blew a flying kiss to the audience. The moment celebrated his remarkable journey from Delhi theatre to global stardom and set the stage for his first National Film Award for Jawan.

Khan will receive his first National Film Award for Jawan. The ceremony also recognised Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail as Best Feature Film, Kathal – A Jackfruit Mystery as Best Hindi Film, and Rani Mukerji as Best Actress for Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2023 for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema.
