“I don’t understand why, but there’s always a significant difference,” she said. While acknowledging that big films are often hero-driven, Samantha emphasized that there were several projects where her role was just as crucial, yet the disparity persisted.

With over 15 years in the industry, she admitted these experiences have stayed with her and fueled a desire for change. “You must put your weight behind the things that bother you,” she said, adding that her purpose lies in addressing the very issues that have affected her personally. The actress opened her own production house, Tralala Moving Pictures, and is hoping to fight for equal pay. She said, “I’ve been in the profession for 15 years, and what I’m trying to do now is avoid repeating the mistakes that were obvious to me. That I will be unable to change my circumstances during my lifetime. But I can do something about the future. If I don’t, who will?”
