A Russian drone strike hit a Ukrainian passenger train at a station in the Sumy region on Saturday, injuring around 30 people, officials told Reuters. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack on X, calling it a “savage Russian drone strike,” and posted a video of the damaged train carriages. Emergency services were at the scene, assisting the injured and securing the area. Authorities confirmed that the train was travelling from Shostka to Kyiv.

Local officials said about 30 people were injured in the strike, with no immediate reports of deaths. Sumy regional authorities stated that rescue workers were helping passengers. Zelenskyy condemned the attack, describing it as a deliberate targeting of civilians, and urged the world to respond to such acts of terror.
