Indian Jiu-Jitsu Player Rohini Kalam Found Dead at Home

Rohini Kalam, an Indian Jiu-Jitsu player who represented the country internationally, was found dead at her home in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday. The 29-year-old athlete, who won a bronze medal at the 8th Asian Championship in Abu Dhabi, also worked as a martial arts coach. Police suspect suicide. A preliminary investigation suggests she had been under work-related stress. No suicide note has been recovered so far.

Rohini Kalam Found Dead

Rohini’s sister said she had been troubled by the school staff and principal. Her father shared that she dreamt of becoming an IPS officer and had been preparing for the Vikram Award. Recovering from major surgery, she had been facing immense work pressure. The police have launched an investigation into the case.
