Rhea Chakraborty Gets Notice From Mumbai Court in Sushant Singh Rajput Case

Rhea Chakraborty

A Mumbai magistrate court has issued a notice to actor Rhea Chakraborty. The notice is in connection with the CBI’s closure report on the complaint she had filed against Sushant Singh Rajput‘s sister and a doctor. The case dates back to 2020, shortly after the actor’s death, when Rhea accused them of arranging prescriptions and medications for Sushant without proper medical consultation. The CBI, in its final report, found no criminality, but the court has now sought Rhea’s response to the agency’s findings.

Rhea Asked to Respond by August 12

The CBI submitted its closure report in March 2025, stating there was no evidence to support criminal charges against the individuals Rhea had named. On July 29, Magistrate R.D. Chavan directed the court to serve a notice to Rhea Chakraborty, asking her to respond to the findings. The matter has been adjourned until the notice is confirmed as delivered. Rhea has until August 12 to reply, which could determine whether the case is formally closed or proceeds further.
