Red Fort Blast Investigation Reveals Shocking Details: 6 Blasts Planned in Delhi-NCR on December 6 to Avenge Babri Masjid Demolition

Red Fort

A chilling plot to strike the heart of the capital was uncovered after the blast near Delhi’s iconic Red Fort and the details are shocking. Intelligence sources revealed that a terror module, allegedly run by doctors linked to banned outfits Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, had planned 6 coordinated blasts across Delhi-NCR. The date, December 6, was deliberately chosen to avenge the Babri Masjid demolition.

Babri Masjid Anniversary Chosen as Target Date

December 6 holds deep historical and emotional significance because it marks the day in 1992 when the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was demolished. During interrogation, the arrested suspects reportedly confessed that the date was chosen intentionally to ‘avenge the Babri Masjid demolition’. The investigators believe the group’s objective was to carry out a symbolic act of revenge by targeting the national capital on the same day.

5-Phase Plan to Execute Serial Blasts

Officials revealed that the terror module had designed a meticulous five-phase plan to execute the attacks:

Phase 1 involved forming the module, which was allegedly linked with Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.

Phase 2 focused on procuring raw materials for assembling Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and sourcing ammunition from Nuh and Gurugram in Haryana.

Phase 3 included manufacturing chemical-based IEDs and conducting reconnaissance of potential targets across Delhi-NCR.

Phase 4 was the distribution of assembled bombs among members following the reconnaissance.

Phase 5 was the final stage aimed at executing coordinated blasts at six to seven high-footfall locations across Delhi.

Initially, the attacks were scheduled for August this year, but operational delays forced the group to postpone them to December 6.

The Bigger Picture

Officials have confirmed that Jaish-e-Mohammad has, for years, called for revenge for the Babri Masjid demolition. Jaish chief Masood Azhar has repeatedly mentioned targeting Ayodhya in his weekly columns, reinforcing the motive behind the planned blasts.

Investigators suggest that a massive attack in the national capital was imminent and that the explosives recovered were intended for its execution.

Sources say Umar panicked after the arrest of his associates and carried out the Red Fort car blast in desperation. His actions exposed a deadly plot before it could unfold on a larger scale.
