The Supreme Court strongly criticised YouTube Ranveer Allahbadia for making vulgar remarks on Samay Raina’s ‘India’s Got Latent’ show. The court stated that such behaviour deserves condemnation and remarked that the podcaster had something “very dirty” in his mind, which he “vomited” during the show. However, the court granted him relief by protecting him from arrest.
Court’s statement
“The words you have chosen, parents will be ashamed, sisters will be ashamed. The entire society will feel ashamed. The perverted mind. The perversion you and your henchmen have exhibited! We have a judicial system, bound by the rule of law. If there are threats (against Allahbadia), the law will take course.”
No Further Show, Submit Passport
Additionally, the Supreme Court barred Ranveer Allahbadia from releasing any further YouTube shows. The court also directed him to surrender his passport and prohibited him from leaving the country without prior permission.
