A 6-year-old girl from a family of agricultural labourers was brutally attacked in Atkot, Rajkot, Gujarat. On December 4, while her parents worked nearby, she was playing near the fields when an unknown man abducted her. The attacker allegedly tried to assault her sexually and, when she screamed, shoved a metal rod into her private parts, severely injuring her before fleeing.
The family found her injured near the fields and rushed her to Jannah Hospital in Rajkot, where she is now stable and is expected to be discharged in 2–3 days.
Rajkot Assault Case Update
In response, the police launched a massive manhunt, forming ten teams and questioning around 100 people. During a lineup, the child identified Ramsingh Terasingh Dadwejar, a 35-year-old farm labourer from Madhya Pradesh’s Alirajpur district, as the attacker. He was arrested near the crime scene. Authorities have ruled out any other suspects and continue to monitor the girl’s recovery while pursuing legal action against the accused.
