Putin Terms Trump Sanction Move as ‘Unfriendly Act’

Trump Sanction

Russian President Vladimir Putin called the new Trump sanctions on Russia’s major oil firms an “unfriendly act.” The United States imposed sanctions on Rosneft and Lukoil, the country’s largest oil producers. Putin said the measures were serious but would not greatly harm Russia’s economy, stressing that they could weaken the improving ties between Moscow and Washington.

Putin Responds to Trump Sanctions

Putin said that despite the Trump sanctions, Russia remained open to dialogue. However, he warned that any attack involving US Tomahawk missiles would provoke a “very strong” response from Moscow, adding that further confrontation would only worsen relations between the two nations.
