The flood devastation in Punjab has become one of the worst crises in decades, leaving deep scars on the state. In just one month, the disaster has claimed the lives of 29 people. Pathankot suffered the maximum casualties, and more than 2.56 lakh people have been affected across 12 districts. The bulletin revealed that over 15,600 people were evacuated, with Gurdaspur (5,549) and Ferozepur (3,321) leading rescues. In total, 1,044 villages have been impacted. Nearly 96,000 hectares of farmland lie submerged, endangering both crops and livestock.
