Preity Zinta Takes Legal Action Against Punjab Kings Co-Owners

Preity Zinta

Preity Zinta has filed a legal case against her fellow Punjab Kings co-owners Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia. The Bollywood actress and co-owner challenged a board meeting held on April 21, calling it illegal. She claims the meeting violated the Companies Act and secretarial rules.

Zinta said she objected in an April 10 email, but her concerns were ignored. Despite attending the meeting with Karan Paul, she wanted it to be declared invalid. Her main objection is the appointment of Muneesh Khanna as director, which she and Paul opposed.

She asked the court to stop Khanna from acting as director and to block any decisions made in the disputed meeting. Zinta also wants no further meetings held without her and Paul present, and without Khanna, until the case is settled. Despite the dispute, Zinta continues to cheer for Punjab Kings. Under Shreyas Iyer’s leadership, the team has reached the IPL playoffs for the first time since 2014.
