Manoj Kumar, fondly known as ‘Bharat Kumar’, passed away on April 4 at the age of 87 following a prolonged illness. PM Modi praised the late actor’s contribution to Indian cinema, noting that his characters brought the freedom struggle to life and inspired generations. Manoj Kumar was best known for classics like ‘Purab Aur Paschim’, ‘Kranti’, and ‘Roti, Kapada Aur Makaan’.
