Pakistan Targeted India with 400 Turkish Drones in 3 Hours

Pakistan’s armed forces launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions towards India. The western border was targeted on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. Pakistan launched 300 to 400 Turkish drones on Indian military locations in or around 36 towns. The cities spanning Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Punjab – from Srinagar to Jaisalmer and Pathankot – late Thursday night, according to Colonel Sofiya Qureshi in a news briefing Friday evening. According to the Indian Army, these attempts were “effectively repulsed.”

In addition, Pakistani troops engaged in multiple ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army stated that these provocations were met with a “befitting reply.” These developments follow a significant escalation in hostilities between the two countries, sparked by the Pahalgam terror attack. The attack killed 26 people. India has accused Pakistan of involvement in the attack—a charge the neighbouring country has denied.

‘Operation Sindoor’

Earlier, on Wednesday, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, a major retaliatory strike in which 24 missiles were fired in 25 minutes targeting nine terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). On the same night, Indian forces successfully intercepted a Pakistani offensive aimed at military installations in 15 cities across northern and western India, involving drones and missiles.
