Centre Approves Pakistan Hockey Team’s Visit
A Sport Ministry official confirmed that Pakistan’s participation in the Asia Cup has been approved. Officials clarified that while bilateral matches with Pakistan remain limited, India does not oppose teams competing in multinational events. The Asia Cup could see India and Pakistan’s hockey teams face each other again later this year in the Junior World Cup, which is also set to be hosted in India.
