Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor’s Homebound, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and produced by Karan Johar, has been shortlisted for the 98th Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category. The film, India’s official Oscar entry, features Vishal Jethwa in a key role and has made it to the list of 15 films. Final nominations will be announced on January 22, 2026.

Karan Johar called the achievement ‘overjoying’ and praised the journey from Cannes to the Oscars. Director Neeraj Ghaywan thanked fans for their support and shared his excitement. The film is streaming now on Netflix.
