Mumbai is on high alert after police received a chilling terror threat from a caller. The caller alleged that 34 “human bombs”, loaded with nearly 400 kg of RDX, had been planted across Mumbai. The threat, issued in the name of Lashkar-e-Jihadi, was received on the traffic police helpline just ahead of Anant Chaturdashi, prompting authorities to tighten security across Maharashtra.

According to the caller, 34 vehicles would be used to carry out massive explosions designed to “shake the entire city” and cause mass casualties. This latest threat follows several hoax bomb calls in recent months, including threats targeting Kalwa railway station, ISKCON Temple, and even the city’s international airport.
While police continue to verify the credibility of the claim, a large number of security forces have been deployed at important locations to prevent panic among citizens.
