Legendary cricketer MS Dhoni has been inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. The announcement was made on June 9. MS Dhoni is now the 11th Indian cricketer to receive this honour. The 43-year-old led India to three major ICC titles: the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup, and the 2013 Champions Trophy. He is the only captain to win all three white-ball trophies. Under his leadership, India also topped the Test rankings.

Dhoni played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs, and 98 T20Is and scored over 17,000 international runs. He made his debut in 2004 against Bangladesh and retired from international cricket in 2020. Speaking about the honour, Dhoni said he was proud and would cherish it forever. He said, “It is an honour to be named in the ICC Hall of Fame, which recognises the contributions of cricketers across generations and from all over the world.”

He still plays for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. In 2025, he returned as captain but CSK had a disappointing season, finishing at the bottom of the table for the first time.
