Mitchell Starc, Australia’s left-arm fast bowler, has announced his retirement from T20 Internationals. The 35-year-old made the decision public on 2 September, saying he will now focus on Test matches and One-Day Internationals. Starc played 65 T20Is for Australia, taking 79 wickets and finishing as the team’s second-highest wicket-taker in the format after Adam Zampa. He played an important role in Australia’s 2021 T20 World Cup victory, calling it one of the proudest moments of his career.
