Sonam Raghuvanshi, accused in the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi, has surrendered. The Indore couple was on their honeymoon in Meghalaya when Raja’s body was found in a gorge near Weisawdong Falls on June 2. Sonam went missing soon after but was traced to a dhaba in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. She surrendered at Nandganj police station on Sunday night.
Indore Couple Case Twist
Police say Sonam hired contract killers and planned the murder. She is the fourth person arrested and others were caught in Indore and Uttar Pradesh. One suspect is still missing. The couple had checked into a homestay in Nongriat on May 22. The next morning, they left early and were later seen with three unidentified men on a steep trail. That was the last known sighting of the Indore couple.
Sonam’s father denies all charges and demands a CBI probe. He claims his daughter is innocent and says the Meghalaya Police is fabricating the case. An SIT is handling the investigation.
