Six women tragically lost their lives on the morning of November 5, 2025, at Chunar Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur district after being run over by a train. The heartbreaking incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. when the Chopan–Prayagraj passenger train had just arrived. The victims reportedly disembarked on the side opposite the main platform and, in a fateful moment, attempted to cross the tracks to reach it. Unaware of the speeding Netaji Express hurtling towards them, they were struck before they could react.
